We are delighted to welcome back to Urrbrae House Emma Horwood and Tim Kersten for a captivating program celebrating the beauty of early 17th-century music, showcasing exquisite works for voice and lute, as well as solo lute pieces. Besides the title song, there will be many other fine knacks, including compositions by John Dowland, Robert Johnson, Thomas Morley and music from Besard’s 1603 French publications. Among the better-known songs will be Dowland’s ‘Flow my Tears ‘ (Lachrimae) and ‘Come Again’ and the sublime Morley knack ‘Will You Buy a Fine Dog?’.
