Join the ACA and Prof. M. Hank Haeusler on Wednesday 21 May for the next CPD webinar in our series to build your knowledge and keep in touch with the implications of AI in architecture. This webinar looks at the opportunities, risks and challenges across the three lenses of architecture, architects and architectural business. To learn more, book now!
Architecture, architects and architectural business are three individual entities that are very closely interconnected. Here of course, architecture refers to the buildings in the built environment, architects to the individuals who conceptualise the buildings, and the architectural business the commercial operation that employs architects to deliver architecture. Humans, via their ‘general intelligence’, are in a position to operate in all three fields. Artificial Intelligence, on the other hand, is not (yet or perhaps never) a General Artificial Intelligence (GAI) or ‘strong’ AI that can perform any intellectual task a human being can, but a ‘weak’ AI designed to perform specific tasks within a limited scope.
This CPD talk will outline opportunities, risks and challenges within AI for all three – architecture, architects, and architectural business – to provide an overview and to assist practitioners in developing their thinking and building their knowledge in the age of artificial intelligence.
