About
An Evening of Cotton gives locals, visitors, new people to town and school children an introduction to cotton production in the Gwydir Valley.Cotton was first produced here in the 1950’s and has developed into one of the regions most important exports.
Tour participants will learn about; the history of cotton production, cotton production today, water and irrigation.
The evening includes; a visit to an irrigated cotton property, a guided tour through a cotton gin and dinner to finish.
