Auslan Training (July 2025) - Bentley
About
Auslan Training: Use of Space & Depicting Signs Practice PackAbout the Training
This training focuses on two key aspects of Auslan:
Use of Space: Learn how to set up physical space around you to represent places, people, or things. These reference points can then be used with directional movement to enhance meaning.
Example: Instead of signing he, give, her, book as separate signs, you can sign: point to the right (person), book, (hold the book and move it to the left), point (person). Ask your teacher for a demonstration.
Depicting Signs: Learn how to show the nature, location, or movement of a person, animal, or object. Depicting signs can also express size, shape, characteristics, emotions, or actions.
