Understanding Autism and the impact on learning
About
Professional Development activities for Teachers and Educational Support Staff who want more knowledge and understanding of autism and how it impacts the classroom.These workshops will assist attendees to increase their understanding of the fundamentals of ASD and develop skills to better support autistic students.
It will also cover literacy programs to support autistic students.
Friday 1st August 2025
9.30-12.30pm Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder and the impact of learning
1.00 - 2.30pm Teaching Literacy
These will be presented by Pamela Mathieson, Principal and our experienced staff.
Cost: $150 per person (includes hand out notes, examples of visual supports, morning tea and certificate)
Location: Northern School for Autism 35 Duncan Road Lalor
