Sentencing: Not as simple as it sounds - Burnie Magistrates CourtAs part of Law Week 2025, the Magistrates Court of Tasmania is inviting participants to attend their local court to gain an understanding of the varied areas that a Magistrate may deal with on a weekly basis.
Attendees at this Burnie Magistrates Court event will gain an insight into the sentencing considerations across a variety of scenarios, which will assist in gaining an understanding of the complexities the sentencer faces in their final decision making function.
Numbers are limited. This event will run for approximately 1.5 hours.
This event is free of charge but bookings are essential. Please note that photo ID must be presented on arrival. The Magistrates Court reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
