Experience the brilliance of Matt Arthur and The Lazybones as they pay tribute to Eric Clapton’s iconic “Unplugged” album, alongside some of his greatest hits. With soulful voice and mesmerizing guitar skills, Matt captures the essence and emotion of Clapton’s timeless classics like “Tears In Heaven” and “Layla”
Matt will be joined by his band, The Lazybones – Sam McNally on keys, Michael Vidale on bass, Dave Egan on drums, Chris E Thomas and Priscilla Gauci on backing vocals.
Whether you’re a die-hard Clapton fan or simply a lover of great acoustic blues, Matt Arthur and The Lazybones tribute is an experience you don’t want to miss.
Plus here is some further info on myself and the band:
Matt Arthur - Hailing from the Central West of NSW. In 2018, Matt proudly released his debut solo album, “On Their Shoulders”, garnering acclaim for his acoustic covers of his favourite artists like Eric Clapton, Keb Mo, John Hiatt, and Bill Withers. Like most artists, 2020 brought unexpected changes, as Matt’s plans to tour were derailed by the pandemic. However, this setback turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Matt rekindled his passion for original music, resulting in the 2023 release of his first original album, “Then & Now”. With the expert production of Rolling Wheel Studios, this album offers engrossing and intriguing songs that reflect on Matt’s past and present, making it a must-have for guitar enthusiasts and fans of blues music.
Chris E Thomas (Vocalist) - Based in Brisbane. Backing vocalist for Vanessa Amorosi, Brian Cadd, Tina Arena, Richard Clapton and Wendy Matthews. Also toured with Gene Simmons on his Australian tour.
Priscilla Gauci (Vocalist) - Based on the NSW South Coast. Fronts a great South Coast band called 'All The Fuss'.
Sam McNally (Keys) - Based in the Blue Mountains. Founding member of the Melbourne 80s band Stylus, has toured with Air Supply, John Farnham, Tommy Emmanuel & Tim Finn. Also currently touring with Doug Williams & The Mix, and the indigenous group Coloured Stone.
Michael Vidale (Bass) - Based in Melbourne. Original member of Jimmy & The Boys. Was Slim Dusty's bass player for many years. Currently tours with Don Walker Band(Cold Chisel), sometimes Jeff Lang, and The Bushwhackers.
Dave Egan (Drums) - Based in Sydney. Has been Matt's drummer for over 20 years. Plus has been the drummer for the iconic Sydney Band 'The Enormous Horns' for well over 25 years.
