Last year I was diagnosed with Very Severe Aplastic Anaemia (Bone Marrow Failure). I was told I needed a bone marrow transplant ASAP. A global search for a donor and a almost a year living at the hospital with constant blood and platelet transfusions, I am now in recovery, but for many kids on the oncology ward, their journeys are just beginning.Treatments and procedures are hard. Being away from family and friends just as bad. But when I was got through procedures, being brave or just needed a little boost. A gift from the gift cupboard gave me the smile and something to forget where I was.
