Telling Our Stories - Buchenwald Boys Family Reflections

Join us for Telling Our Stories - Buchenwald Boys Family Reflections, a moving program illuminating the Jewish Museum of Australia's exhibition 'Buchenwald Ball- 80 Years Dancing in Freedom'. This intimate panel brings together the children and grandchildren of a group of Holocaust survivors known as the Buchenwald Boys, as they share deeply personal reflections and memories of their loved ones—men who built new lives in Australia after surviving unimaginable horror.
Facilitated by Sandra Jason, this program offers a rare opportunity to hear from descendants of Benny Gurgiel, Joe Kaufman, Shimon Michalowicz, Salek Roth and Bernie Kaufmann, as well as a special insight into the important role played by the Buchenwald Boys’ wives. Through their stories, we honour resilience, celebrate freedom and ensure these legacies are never forgotten.
Places are limited. Booking is essential.
