City of Sydney Catenians - 2025 Foundation Dinner
A NIGHT REMBERING PETER O’REILLY
The City of Sydney Circle invites Catenians, their ladies and the family and friends of Peter O’Reilly to join in celebrating Peter’s life and his contribution to The Catenians at our 2025 Foundation Dinner.
Peter was educated at Marist Brothers College, Kogarah before graduating from the University of Sydney as a Bachelor of Pharmacy. Admitted as a member of the City of Sydney Circle at its inauguration in 1971, he became one of Australia’s founding Catenians.
While each of us has our own fond memories of Peter, we all share memories of his love for family, his commitment to faith, friends, Catenian brothers and profession and his enduring enthusiasm for cricket.
At this year’s Foundation Dinner we will particularly remember his enthusiasm for cricket and celebrate its sharing by hearing a recording of an address given to the Circle by Peter’s father, Bill (Tiger) O’Reilly OBE, one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game.
