Did you know that cyanotypes were the early 19th century photographs?Be inspired by 'Focus: Australian government photographers exhibition' and learn the traditional technique of cyanotype printing on paper and fabric to create your own unique artwork.
Learn the traditional technique of cyanotype printing on paper and fabric to create your own unique artwork. This unique workshop will allow you to mix history and art in our Museum & Gallery.
The day will start with artist Marina Mavritsky explaining her artmaking process. Then, using the exhibition and surrounds as inspiration, participants will learn the art of traditional cyanotype printing using negatives, found objects and their own drawings.
Participants are encouraged to bring in objects and images which can be used as further inspiration for this unique artmaking process.
This program is part of 'Focus: Australian government photographers exhibition', which will run until 17 August 2025.
