Auditions for Adrift in New York
Melodrama’s are so much fun for actors and audiences alike. The audience boos for the villain, cheers the Hero and sighs for the Heroine. The script is corny, full of innuendo and slapstick comedy. Actors can have fun with their roles, overact and interact with the audience. They can even sing and dance if they want to! But not the villain, the villain never dances!
The director, Rose Vallen is still looking for auditionees for the following roles:
NELLIE WESTON: Stage Age: 18 – 25. Soprano/Mezzo Soprano
MARTHA WESTON: Nellies older sister,. Stage Age 20 – 25. Singing and dancing not required but can join the chorus where appropriate.
JACK MERRIWELL - the hunky hero. Stage age 20-25. Singing and dancing not required
FRANCIS DESMOND - the villian. Stage Age: 30-40. Singing and dancing not required
HI PERKINS/CHORUS MEMBER- small town constable any age. Singing and dancing required as will be in chorus.
Audition pieces available 1 week before audition.
