Kathak Yatra - A 2 Day Kathak Festival
About
A Kathak festival at Clayton Theatre on 14th and 15th June 2025 starting at 2pm sharp on both days, featuring both local and international Kathak artists of repute. Local artists will include Smt Sumona Bhattacharya and her students from Ghungroo School. The international artists will include the Kathak duo of Debashree Bhattacharya and Sohini Debnath, disciples of Guru Padmashree Rani Karnaaji, presenting her unique aesthetic sensibilities of Kathak. This will be a unique and rare opportunity for the audience to watch Kathak performances at its best. Program will also feature components with live musical accompaniments on sarod and tabla.Please Note: Kindly arrive at 1.45pm on both days. This is to ensure audience members are seated before 2pm and program can start on exact time.
