Duo Lewis - Bijl: Georgina Lewis (Piano) and Niels Bijl (Saxophones).

A duo program of poetic beauty, built around one of the cornerstones of French repertoire for Saxophone and Piano: Paule Maurice's Tableaux de Provence. This beautiful work is an homage to the serenity of the Provence, written by Paule Maurice reminiscing the time she spent there with her husband Pierre Lantier, saxophone pioneer Marcel Mule and his partner. Other works include Erik Satie's Gnossiennes, a song cycle by Cyrus Meurant and World Premiere versions of a duo and trio by Meurant AND Jabra Latham's stunning trio Beyond.
