Join us to hear from Di Sandilands, creator of PubCrock, a collection of hotel ware from a time when hospitality venues proudly displayed their name on their crockery, and sometimes glass and metal ware.Badged hotel ware was everywhere – in hotels, cafes, guest houses, tea rooms in small towns to big city hotels and in hospitals and on the railways.
Di will take us on the journey that led to her hotel ware collecting adventures and share the history of institutions such as the dining halls in Coles Variety Stores through the lens of hotel ware.
Di encourages you to bring along any hotel ware from the Art Deco period to ask any questions or share a story.
