Women's Coaching Month
About
In celebration of the AFL Women's Coaching Month in June 2025, Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club will conduct a series of hands-on Coaching activities for women and girls, to develop their Coaching skills with participants, male and female, who have an Intellectual Disability or Autism diagnosis.This will include:
• education sessions, in conjunction with the AllPlay Footy Disability Inclusion Coaching Course;
• hands-on opportunities to conduct small-group training activities during regular club training sessions on Wednesdays;
• and the opportunity to observe and assist in game-day Coaching in an authentic Disability Football competition on Sundays.
Participating Coaches will be presented with a T-Shirt to mark the event. A BBQ will be conducted at the conclusion of the program, allowing Coaches and participants to socialise and reflect on their experiences.
