Fabled venue The Tackleshack was active at Splendour In The Grass 2006-2023 as an 'off the map' place for VIPs to hang. Hosted by Colonel Waylon P. Flawstane, assisted by a sprawling number of 'fambly' members, it has entered the pantheon of legendary juke joints. Drawing inspiration from the dirt floored bait shop bars near The Colonel's home in Dry Prong Louisiana, the Tackleshack is a place to soak up the music of the Deep South and beyond.The Colonel is nationally renowned DJ who plays country & Western, vintage soul, 50's R'n'b& rock'n'roll, swamp blues, bluegrass and country music.
He will be joined by his extended Tackleshack Fambly, along with live performances from Sydney cowpunk legends SPURS FOR JESUS & the Outer Space Cowboys. There will be great food, a bar, fire dancing and the Dangar Island Hick Singers around the fire pit.
