Asbestos in Soils – Lessons Learnt and Mitigation Strategies across Environmental Audits and Major ProjectsThis months member presentation is bought to you by ACLCA Victoria – Asbestos in Soils Sub Committee where we welcome EPA Environmental Auditor Richard Griffith, a Certified Occupational Hygienist Shane Collins and Big Build contamination specialist Corey Bannister.
The presentation will focus on key lessons learnt across the project lifecycle, from planning / early demolition through to procurement and development phases of projects. It will discuss key indicators and sampling / mitigation strategies to de-risk projects for our clients and ensure asbestos-related risks are proactively managed.
WorkSafe Victoria has recently introduced new content to assist Duty Holders in managing soil contaminated with asbestos. This web based information consolidates WorkSafe’s position on asbestos in soil in plain terms and is a reference all practitioners should be aware of.
