Somatic Meditation into Movement with Contact Improvisation

About
1 hour class and 1 hour jam. We begin by dropping into the body and encouraging a relaxed nervous system state. From this place of groundedness, we foster curiosity and explore details of interoception and exteroception, finding the balance between the two. This allows us to engage in dance with ourselves and with others with great awareness and attention.Dr Astrid Zeman is a cognitive neuroscientist who specialises in sense perception, predominately vision and touch. She discovered contact improvisation in Brussels in 2017 and has since trained in movement and somatic practices in Belgium, Hungary and Germany, under Stephanie Auberville (FR/BE), Ray Chung (US), Adrian Russi (CH), Thomas Kampe (UK), Gregory Chevalier (FR/HU), Ady Elzam (IL/BE), Artyem Markov (RU), Urs Stauffer (CH), Adalisa Menghini (DE/IT), Olive Bieringa (NZ/NO) and Otto Ramstadt (US/NO). Astrid is currently training as a Somatic Movement Educator in Body-Mind Centering® with SEA.
