About
Wear It Purple Day is an annual event that aims to foster safe, supportive, and inclusive environments for LGBTQIA+ youth. At ECU South West, we are proud to host a campus-wide celebration that champions visibility, self-expression, and community connection.This year’s event will bring students and staff together through creative activities, live music, and opportunities to reflect, share, and connect. Attendees can get hands-on with our “Socks That Speak” decorating station, contribute to the Affirmation Jar, strike a pose at the photobooth, and enjoy a selection of Wear It Purple-themed snacks and treats.
A live performance by WAAPA will create a vibrant, uplifting atmosphere as we unite in support of diversity, identity, and belonging.
This event is open to all ECU students and staff who are encouraged to come dressed in purple and be part of a day that celebrates every story, every voice, and every identity.
