About
State Payroll Tax has the potential to threaten the viability of General Practices in many Australian States.ACT, NSW, Victoria and South Australia are all proceeding to apply payroll tax (PRT) on medical professional fees paid to independent GPs under conventional General Practice structures. They have all announced some variant that exempts bulk billing but will tax privately billed consults.
The aim of these peer discussion groups is for Practice Owners to discuss the measures that Practices are considering/adopting to prepare for the advent of the tax.
The discussion will include the practicalities of various Practice structure models, their implementation and measures that Practices are adopting to fund potential PRT liability.
Attendance is restricted to AGPA Members.
