Lauren had dreamed of being a mother for as long as she could remember. After searching for a husband and returning from life abroad, single and in her early 40s, she decided it was now or never. As a religious Jewish woman, Lauren choosing to pursue IVF was not a simple choice; finding a way to ensure that her quest to become a mother could be supported by halacha and a community she valued so deeply. Lauren had long held this arduous and unconventional journey hidden, unsure how it could be taken up. She shares her story of strength and unrelenting pursuit of motherhood, to give others permission to do the same.
