SMGS Winter Academy 2025 Barista + RSA Course (Year 11 + 12)
About
In this full-day workshop you will complete two training courses:1. In Barista Training you will learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee and develop transferable life skills in a hands-on environment using commercial equipment.
Students receive: Non-Accredited Barista Training for Schools - Certificate of Participation and Completion
2. In Responsible Service of Alcohol you will:
- learn about the benefits of strategies to prevent intoxication
- receive hands on experience on how much to pour
- understand advertising & promotion standards
- learn the best way to refuse service of alcohol and to ask for secondary I.D.
Accreditation: Liquor Control Victoria RSA and SITHFAB021 National Statement of Attainment.
Lunch is provided.
Students should bring:
o Water bottle - to stay hydrated throughout the day
o Laptop or Tablet, notepad, pen
