RHIANNON - THE SONGS AND STORIES OF FLEETWOOD MAC achieves accolades from even the most ardent Mac fans. RHIANNON - THE SONGS AND STORIES OF FLEETWOOD MAC performs all the songs from the Grammy award winning “Rumours” album. The show tells the story of Fleetwood Mac through the music. They play songs from all the Top 40 albums from 1975 to the mid-80s, as well as solo tracks by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Fleetwood Mac is the most popular band in rock history. This enduring band has a tumultuous history of personal relationships which has manifested in decades of Top 40 hits. It’s a great story! Recently winding up a sold out world tour, and releasing a 50th anniversary album, this iconic band continues to rock on.
THE SONGS: So many songs that are still on radio playlists up to 40 years after their original release. Everyone knows this music! Don’t Stop Dreams Go Your Own Way Everywhere Gypsy Rhiannon Landslide You Make Loving Fun Stand Back Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around Trouble Go Insane Say You Love Me The Chain Tusk Over My Head Edge of Seventeen Never Going Back Again Second Hand News Oh Daddy Songbird Gold Dust Woman Little Lies Sara I Don’t Wanna Know Talk To Me … and more
THE BAND: Stevie Nicks is played by Rebecca (Bec) Leslie. Stevie Nicks is arguably the most successful female performer of all time. Over 5 decades she has stunned crowds with her smouldering, trancelike performances - going from child-like innocence to angry rock chick … - it’s not easy, but Bec manages to bring all that to the stage. Guitar maestro Lindsey Buckingham is played by Bud Noordhoorn. Starting out playing jazz and funk, Bud toured Australia and overseas in the 90s playing drums with “White Man Can’t Reggae” and has writing credits on their album. Bud captures the raw energy and style of Lindsey Buckingham. The mellow vocals and piano vamps of Christine Perfect, aka Christine McVie, is played by Annie Mac. Annie has performed, written and recorded in Australia and the UK, been on TV a couple of times in the 90s, and sung and played in bands for many events Australia-wide. Annie’s vocals are a key feature of the show, as are Chrissie McVie’s in Fleetwood Mac. John McVie, the eponymous bass player of Fleetwood Mac is played by Rupert Rodrigues. Rupert, like John, stays in the background but the bass lines underpin all those classic grooves we know and love. Mick Fleetwood is played by Gerard Rowan. Gerard has played drums in many bands and performed at many public and private events around Australia. Gerard keeps those grooves rocking through the show.
