Voice Pedagogy for Choral Conductors and Singing Teachers

This workshop is for choral conductors and singing teachers who work with young singers.The session will focus on exploring voice pedagogy for effective vocal production including use of physical movement to inform singers of vocal technique. The workshop will demonstrate strategies for allowing singers to be equal partners in the learning process.
The workshop is presented by ANCA (Australian National Choral Association) and Dr Christopher Kiver. Dr Kiver is a sought-after clinician, frequently guest-conducting and adjudicating in China, Australia, New Zealand, and across the USA for ACDA and NAfME. His expertise includes conducting and vocal pedagogy, changing voices, programming, recruitment, score study, rehearsal methodology and choral advocacy. Currently a Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Pennsylvania State University, Dr Kiver is a double Grammy Award winner and a recipient of the World Choral Symposium Foundation Scholarship and the PSU
