Join us for an introductory program designed to empower Occupational Therapy (OT) students with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective basic seating assessment, trial and prescription. This session will equip you with essential knowledge like the fundamental goals of seating, the general principles of achieving an optimal seated posture and the key tools to achieving ideal seating positions for a variety of individuals. From assessment and prescription, to fitting and adjustment, we’ll walk you through some commonly prescribed simple seating solutions, and compare and contrast similar options from economic, functional and clinical perspectives.
