Dance of the Moth, Performance 1, is a multimedia project for young people, mentoring them to explore, realize and develop their creative expression through sound, contemporary dance and moving image, developed via workshops, and culminating in a live performance at the Yarra-me Djila Theatrette.In the Dance of the Moth workshops, children will have the unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and explore the creative process involved in developing a multimedia performance. Guided by choreographer Erin Taube, participants will mirror the journey of a dancer, learning to express themselves through movement and physical storytelling. Visual artist Jutta Pryor will inspire the children with her captivating projections, which will serve as a dynamic backdrop throughout the workshops, set to the atmospheric soundscapes created by composer Roderick Price.
