Theatrical, outrageous, silly and sexy, Tomáš Kantor's award-winning debut cabaret SUGAR returns to Melbourne for one night only.Following a sold-out Melbourne Fringe 2024 season and still raving from a national tour, SUGAR has been invited to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. This special gala event features the full SUGAR experience with guest appearances by Australian musical rockstar Victoria Falconer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), cabaret drag icons Iva Rosebud and Skank Sinatra, and more to be announced, all coming together to raise funds towards SUGAR'S international debut.
SUGAR is the story of a radiantly-beautiful gender-fluid twink who discovers that there's money to be made from 'transactional relationships' (though their primary source of information is Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman). What could go wrong? Pop hits from Gaga to Chappell Roan pack this electric cabaret about luxury, power, and being paid to have sex on a grand piano.
