We warmly invite our members, friends and guests to join us for the Commemoration of the Battle of Lone Pine at The Mint, Macquarie St, Sydney. Dr Brendan Nelson AO will once again be in attendance alongside our Keynote Speaker for the evening and Guest of Honour, Sir Peter Cosgrove.Gerrard Henderson, long time Director of the Sydney Institute, author and senior Australian journalist will introduce Sir Peter Cosgrove and share some invaluable historical war stories.
We shall be sharing the evening once again via video link with The Southport School on the Gold Coast.
Jackson Phillips from Saint Joseph's College, Hunters Hill will deliver a powerful recital of Teddy Sheean's journey to posthumously being awarded the Victoria Cross as a result of the profound efforts of Dr Nelson to ensure this deserved recognition.
There will also be a Waverley College Cadets Unit Honour Guard.
Canapés and drinks are included during the function between 6pm & 9pm
