About
Young artists are will experience the joy of slowing down, looking closely, and bringing everyday objects to life in this colourful still life painting workshop.Inspired by the classic art of observation, ‘A Creative Canvas’ gives young people a chance to explore their creativity through drawing, painting, and mindful looking.
We’ll kick off the day with fun warm-up games, sketching activities and colour experiments before moving into building a real still life scene using objects, flowers and fruit and paint confidently on canvas using acrylics.
Alongside guided instruction from experienced artists, participants will have time for open-ended exploration and creative freedom. Every artist will head home with their very own still life masterpiece on a canvas — and a huge sense of accomplishment.
Students should bring:
o Water bottle
o Apron
