ROPE
Directed by Thor Andersen
Penned by Patrick Hamilton in 1929, was the basis of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1948 classic film
This brilliantly tense play is bought to life under the direction of local director Thor Andersen. There is no such thing as the perfect murder. Or is there? Two wealthy flatmates, believing themselves to be intellectually superior to their contemporaries, murder their college friend purely to see if they can get away with it. They then throw a party, serving food from the top of the chest where they have hidden the body. Their guests include both David's father and fiancée, as well as college professor Rupert Cadell, whose lectures inadvertently inspired the killing.
