ALL OF US OR NONE

About
An exploration of Displacement, Fear and Suspicion through the work of Bertolt Brecht. Performed by students in the Diploma of Theatre Arts, supported by students from Live Production, Costume and Make-up. The performance uses texts from three of Brecht's works, along with his poems to explore the crisis we now face globally - the displacement of people due to war, politics and climate. Writing in exile in Scandinavia and the US, Brecht fled Germany with the rise of the National Socialists and WWII. He developed his 'Brechtian techniques' which are still in use in theatre practice today. Brecht asks us to think, look and try to learn, through poetic imagery, humour and emotional connection.Recommended for ages 16 and over, the play contains:
* Images of war past and present,
* References to Nazi Germany -
* Loss and displacement
* Political themes and questions
* Some loud noises and battle sounds
* Sharp changes of light
* Rude gestures
