This session provides an introduction to insurable risk within the Victorian Public Sector.We will cover:
- What is insurance and how does it cover public sector operations
- Identifying and assessing insurable risks
- Making, managing and learning from claims
- Improving your maturity
By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:
- determine whether a risk is insurable or not
- identify the types of insurance products and what they cover
- explain how to minimise exposure to insurable risk
- explain the process used to manage a claim, relevant to a specific insurable risk event.
