Join us for an afternoon with The Southern Concert, a new baroque ensemble on period instruments, based in the Bega Valley with core members Stephen Freeman (violin), Odette Bruinzeel (viola) and Rosalind Halton (harpsichord), joined by Lauren Davis (violin) and Clara Teniswood (cello) from Canberra.Four-part works of Alessandro and Francesco Scarlatti using critical editions by Scarlatti scholars Rosalind Halton and Chris Hair. Complementing these works are a solo harpsichord piece by their father, Domenico Scarlatti, as well as three- and four-part works by contemporaries Evaristo dall’Abaco and George Frideric Handel.

Foyer Cafe/Bar opens 1 hour before the concert for refreshments.
