Twilight: AI in Education

About
The School of Education is delighted to invite you to this Twilight Seminar presented by Drew Mayhills FAIM CF, Chief Learning and Development Officer at the Australian Institute of Management in WA. Drew is a Churchill Fellow whose international research has focused on investigating the potential for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching and learning.
This seminar will explore:
- Evidence-informed strategies for using AI to strengthen teacher-student, peer and professional relationships while preserving trust, connection and care.
- Practical recommendations to elevate the design and delivery of learning experiences using AI tools.
- Techniques and examples from around the world where is being used AI to foster deeper reflective practice for professional growth.
- Reflections on the current state of research into AI in education as well as key considerations for the future of teaching and learning in an AI-integrated world.
This session reframes AI not as a threat or shortcut, but as a partner in thinking – and the need for leaders to elevate professional practice, reconnect with purpose and shape the future of education.
