Samuel Gilbert Public School

The concept of engineering has existed since ancient times and the need for those who knew how to get things done was critical to survival. Our earliest “engineers” invented the wheel, the plow, the bow and arrow, pulley and lever. As civilizations developed, the value of engineers also increased.
Engineering has evolved to centre around the design, development, and implementation of engines, machines and structures.
One of its greatest purpose is to solve the problems of our world with applied science in both practical and cost-effective ways.
Enrol your child to our Winter school holiday program, so we can explore how technology has helped our society.
About our WORKshop
Our Engineering & Robotics workshops were especially designed to help kids fall in love with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths). It is about experimental learning, hands-on fun and thinking outside the box. If you've missed out on our weekly after-school programs, don't miss these.
- Up STEM Skills - learning is one thing, learning to learn is superior. We focus on analysing the problem, experimenting and prototyping to promote a lifelong love for STEM.
- Ignite Curiosity - we don't just remember answers, we leave participants with tantalising questions to promote curiosity and further exploration.
- Build Confidence - we focus on mastery giving participants the opportunity to experience 'I Can Do It'.

WHAT PARENTS & TEACHERS SAY
Thousands of happy parents are glad they enrolled their children into our holiday workshops operating at some 25 locations in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA.
'My son attended his first Holiday Camp, and he had a great time. He came back home smiling, with lots of ideas to continue his building with new Lego creations. He went for both days, which was a good amount of time for him. The staff were helpful and attentive when I had questions regarding my son's attendance. Thank you so much!
- Lisa from NSW
Elliot has continued to talk about how fun Engineering Camp was. A wonderful camp and he will be attending again in the future.'
