A day with with Rob Vingerhoets on the key skills your students need to master Fluency with Number Facts.
The Understanding and Fluency proficiencies are a key part of mastering number facts. Rob will demonstrate why your program needs to be deeper than rote learning and memorising basic facts. Any effective approach to mental computation and mastering number facts must have place value and number understanding AND engagement at its heart.
We can’t have a system where students can recall times tables and number facts with no understanding of what they mean.
This day will be INFORMATIVE, PRACTICAL and ENJOYABLE
