2025 Knitting - Toe up Socks using Magic Loop

Toe Up Socks is designed to teach intermediate level knitters basic knitted sock anatomy and take you through all the steps required for creating a knitted sock from the toe up.Best suited to those who already understand the basics of knitting. The technique taught is a terrific method as it allows you to try your sock on as you go and you can utilise every last bit of your yarn without the risk of running out.
You will learn to:
- Knit in the round using a circular needle and the magic loop method
- Cast on a closed toe
- Shape a toe and gusset
- Create a heel flap
- Shape the calf of a sock
At the end of the workshop you will have created a mini sock using all the the above techniques.
You will need to bring an 80cm (or greater) circular needle of 2.25 or 2.5mm and a ball of sock yarn. Packs can be made available with prior arrangement - please contact us at least 10 days prior to the event.
