Victorian Hydrogen Car Grand Prix - Public Entry
About
The Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) is a STEAM program where students design, build, and race remote-controlled cars powered entirely by hydrogen gas. Over the course of a year, teams develop their cars by testing, modifying, and analyzing performance, applying a range of STEM skills and working collaboratively. The program culminates in a thrilling 4-hour endurance race featuring pit stops, rapid problem-solving, and team communication, simulating a real racing team environment. In 2025, Fairhills High School will host the Victorian Hydrogen Car Grand Prix, where teams from across Victoria will compete. The race will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM, with the awards ceremony starting shortly afterward. This event gives students the chance to showcase their skills, represent their schools, and explore STEM career pathways. The winning team will go on to represent Victoria at the 2025 World Hydrogen Car Grand Prix in Chemnitz, Germany.
