Western Arts Theatre is excited to announce auditions for The Drowsy Chaperone — a witty, fast-paced tribute to 1920s musical theatre and winner of multiple Tony Awards. This unique show blends comedy and musical magic as a lovable theatre enthusiast plays his favorite cast album, bringing the (fictional) 1928 musical The Drowsy Chaperone to life in his apartment. What follows is a whirlwind of glitzy spectacle, mistaken identities, tap numbers, gangsters in disguise, and a delightfully tipsy chaperone. It’s a hilarious, high-energy ride — and we want YOU on board!Auditions are now open and we’re looking for expressive, diverse performers aged 18+ ready to embrace the style, humor, and spectacle of this show.
