Level 2 Child Safe training
About
This session provides coordinators and volunteers with information and advice on how to create a Child Safe Family Learning Support Program.The training examines the new Victorian Child Safe Standards, which came into effect on 1 July 2022, and the requirements that organisations must take to keep children and young people safe.
It provides information on how to identify and reduce the risks to child safety in Learning Support Program, and covers important topics including, child safe recruitment and selection strategies, as well as responding to disclosures and reporting.
Participants will learn about child safety, including online safety, the standards and principles, and how to apply these to their work in a Learning Support Program. This is an interactive session where participants will have the opportunity to engage in practical activities.
