Effective harm reduction work takes sensitivity and nuance. It requires a workforce to be engaging, non-judgemental and supportive. It also means knowing how to step up support when the time is right. 

MSIC knew they needed to go beyond the usual induction procedures to develop an engaging and practical workforce development resource.
