Set your event up for future success and learn practical event management tips from event management specialists at Australian Centre for Regional Events.

The bootcamp will examine the current event landscape, discussing existing and emerging trends and challenges. You will be guided through the five steps of the event experience, receiving valuable advice on critical components of each step, along with ways to ensure your attendees have a memorable experience.

The day will also address two common challenges in event management – finances and building a team. The session will explore financial viability and the diversification of income streams, aiming to decrease reliance on sponsorship and grants. Additionally, it will cover how to identify, recruit, and maintain a team to handle the many varied roles required when running an event.

This is an ideal opportunity to network with other event organisers from throughout the region and gain the knowledge and support you need to elevate your event.

YOUR PRESENTERS

Linda Tillman and Cathy Treasure have over 40 years combined experience in events and tourism and have recently joined forces to evolve rEVENTS Academy into Australian Centre for Regional Events.

Linda is a regional tourism strategist and practitioner boasting a suite of regional tourism and event expertise with LGAs and RTOs across Australia in regional tourism and event development, tourism strategy, destination marketing, regional branding, and event delivery.

Cathy is an event specialist who has worked on over 50 events across three continents and was formerly Director of one of Australia’s most unique regional success stories, Parkes Elvis Festival.

Linda and Cath are regionally based and have an intimate understanding of regional Australia, and the important connections between events and their communities.
