Join Women’s Social NT for a very special evening with local legend Maisie Austin—author, historian, celebrant, and basketball champion. From her childhood in Parap Camp to decades of community service and storytelling, Maisie has lived many lives.Now studying her PhD on the history of Stuart Park and Parap Camp, Maisie will share memories of growing up in the camps, the ghost stories that linger, and the incredible journey she’s taken through sport, politics, dressmaking, and activism—including her work with the NT Stolen Generations Aboriginal Corporation.
Set in the historic Sidney Williams Hut, one of the few surviving wartime buildings in Stuart Park, this event is a celebration of Territory history and the women who shape it.
