2025 Entree to spinning with Deb White (1 day)
In this very hands-on, practical workshop you will learn about the art of spinning with Deborah Everson White - VP of the Alice Spring Beanie Festival and Spinner Extraordinaire!
You will learn the basics of spinning to create your very own skein of hand spun art yarn made by your own hands. As this is a one-day workshop, please ensure that your spinning wheel has been serviced and is in good working condition if you are bringing your own. Please bring prepared fibre for spinning - A pre-purchased silver or prepared fleece (wool or alpaca) is ideal.
What you will get:
6 hours guidance from a highly experienced spinner (1 hour lunch break)
Intimate small group setting - plenty of opportunity for questions and demonstration.
Spinning wheels can be hired @ $30.00 per month ($100 refundable deposit). Participants may bring their own wheel but it must be in good working order prior to the class.
