The School of Infantry will be celebrating 125 years of the Australian Army for the Australia wide Army Open Day.We invite the Singleton and Greater Hunter Communities to attend the Army Open Day at Lone Pine Barracks on Saturday 14 March between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Please obtain free tickets to present on entry for your family here.
Entry via Range Road only. Onsite Parking - please do not park on the street.
8.30 am Gates Open with a display of historical and current Military Vehicles and Weapons. 9.30 - 10.30 am Obstacle Course Demonstration. 10.30 am Main Arena Capability Display (Acknowledgement of Country, Australian Army Band, Light Horse Displays, Military Physical Training Demonstration, Army Combative Program). 11.15 am Main Display (Air Display - Tecnam & Tigermoths, Battle Field Attack Simulation culminating in a Section Attack - Recon, Snipers, Mine Detectors, Mortars, Direct Fire Support Weapons, Infantry Section Attack). Available throughout the day Jumping Castle, Kids Obstacle Course and Climbing Wall, Cammo Face Painting, Free Sausage Sizzle, Food Vendors including Ice Cream, Fairy Floss and Snow Cones. Military Ballad Performances, Bugler, Defence Force Recruiting, Singleton RSL, Singleton Defence Families and Community, Defence Member and Family Support, Defence Bank, University of NSW Regiment, Task Force Veteran, Whittingham RFS and Legacy. 1.30 pm Open Day Concludes.
