MAPh workshop | Body sculpture for teens with Prue and Honey

About
This interactive photography workshop with artists Prue Stent and Honey Long playfully reimagines the human body as a sculptural material for abstract expression. In this session you’ll explore a range of techniques and props to transform the body to convey deep ideas and diverse emotions, and learn how to use angles, lighting and viewpoint to change the meaning and impact of an image. Whether you’re a beginner photographer or have some experience, this workshop is a fun opportunity to learn a different way of seeing and making, guided by Prue and Honey. What to bring:
- your own camera—whether it’s a DSLR, film camera, or mobile phone
- objects or materials to use in experimentation
- a snack to keep you going
This program is aimed at young people aged12-16 years old with an interest in art, photography or theatre. Please contact the museum if you have any questions about the suitability of this workshop for you/your child.
