Super Starter Classes - Term 3, 2025
Who: Children in Schools Years 2-5.
Course content: Funky backing tracks, piano pieces, lots of different styles – Super Starter music classes have it all! This is a fast paced, structured music course teaching reading, piano skills, creativity, theory and performance. Course material and audio files contain all the pieces and worksheets for class and home. We've even got a Youtube channel with all the pieces to help you at home!
Super Starter students sit their first Piano Exam at the end of the course, giving a detailed report on performance, aural and sight reading skills that have been taught over the first year. Students perform in the annual AMS concert.
Course duration: Classes are 1 hour each week and enrolment is for 1 term.
Pre-requisite: A piano or keyboard is required at home.
What next: Super Starter leads directly into AMS Junior Plus Courses where we further develop the ability to play, read and appreciate music. This course will give you priority entry to the next course.
General Information:
- There is a $50 cancellation fee for all courses.
- Sibling discounts are available for those that have a sibling currently enrolled at AMS. Call the AMS office to receive a discount code.
- We accept NSW Creative Kids vouchers. Call the AMS office to redeem your voucher.
