About
The Somerset Civic Centre welcomes the students from Virginia State School for a free morning performance featuring the school’s concert and stage band, comprising of 100+ years 4, 5, 6 students, parents and staff.Lead by 2020 Telstra ARIA Teacher Award Nominee, music teacher Kathryn McLennan, the concert will comprise of the following songs;
Legend of the Irish Giant by Edward Kennedy
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins
Music from Pirates of the Caribbean by Klaus Badelt
I’m a Believer (Shrek) by Neil Diamond
Caravan by Duke Ellington
My Boy Lollipop by The Cadillacs
Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder
This 45-minute performance promises to be a heartwarming experience.
Following the performance, complimentary morning tea will be provided by Somerset Regional Council’s seniors connection program, In Good Company, funded by the Queensland Government.
