Menzies Institute for Medical Research is providing free blood pressure checks for Metro Tasmania Staff.The check takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Please try not to have smoked or had caffeine in the 30 minutes prior to the check.
Did you know that high blood pressure is a leading risk factor for stroke but is often easily managed. Being aware of your blood pressure is key to preventing stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases which are currently at very high rates among Tasmanians.
At the check, Menzies will provide information on your blood pressure and steps you can take to maintain or achieve healthy blood pressure.
Checks are available between 9.00am and 2.00pm.
